Have you ever wondered why some people’s life seem to be going better than others? They seem extremely happy and smiling all of the time. Could it be that they have never had any bad things happen to them? Perhaps they were born into the perfect family with both parents, or maybe they were extremely smart and made all of the right choices in their life.
Well I don’t believe that anyone living has not had their fair share of troubles. Consequently, bad things have happened to all of us at one time or another, that’s just life! There will never be a consistently perfect life without challenges because they are no consistently perfect people. In the bible, Romans 3:23 tells us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”. Therefore, none of us have or will ever make all of the right choices all of the time. Subsequently, if we did Jesus would not have a need to go to the cross.
Nevertheless, the question still remains; why do some people seem to have such a great life?
The truth behind the question is; we all have a great life. But what makes their life different than yours is how you perceive your life. In other words, it’s your mental picture of how you see your life. You can look at all the bad things in your life and you will be sad, frustrated, angry and miserable. Or you can look for the good things in your life and you will be happy, content, lighthearted and have peace of mind.
We can’t see what goes on behind closed doors in someone else’s life, I’m sure they have their struggles too. But only you know first-hand what goes on in your life. Consequently, if you currently have some bad things going on in your life, you have the power to change it by simply making a different decision. You can choose to sit, complain and do nothing about it or you can make the decision to stop it, change it, or get rid of it. As an individual, the choice is yours. IT’S YOUR LIFE! If your life is not as peaceful as you want it, get alone by yourself and figure out what is robing you of your joy and peace. It could be a person, your job, your school, or your own mental battles. Either way life is what YOU make it.
Take the authority that God has given you as His child, stand bold and make the decision to not allow people, places and things to rob you of your peace. Under the laws of God and man, you have the right to be free to enjoy your life. Don’t live your life based on the opinions, pressures and ideas of others.
Remember, life is what YOU make it. So make the choice to live and enjoy YOUR life.
Love & Blessings,
Dr. Doris
