How Deep Is Your Love?

Updated: Apr 16, 2023

Good morning ladies, I pray you all have had a peaceful weekend full of love and blessings. This blog is going to be a little different. This morning, as my mind gently moved into consciousness, I was awakened by a beautiful thought. God loves me! I know you may think, well, God does loves us! Yes, that’s true, but this morning those words felt different. It was as if God himself was revealing to me how deeply He loves me. My beautiful sisters, I believe the message is to remind us of how valuable we are to the heart of God as women and to know that GOD is love! The love we so desperately desire for ourselves... is Him.

We all understand how negative experiences in life can rob us of the idea of being worthy of something as simple as pure love. A love that is given to us without requiring anything from us. A love that is sacrificial. The depth of God’s love for his daughters says, “I don’t care what has happened to you, I still love you, I still want you, you can never be too dirty or sinful for me.” “It doesn’t matter to me what you have done in your past, what you are doing right now, or what mistakes you will make in your future, I love you!” This type of love embraces you like a warm blanket on a cold winter’s night. It provides shelter from the storms in life and makes you feel safe. This love always has quality time for us, even if we don’t have time for Him. The love God has for us is patient and kind. This type of love doesn’t hurt us, judge us, tear us down or make us feel bad about ourselves. The love God has for us doesn’t hold us captive to the mistakes we’ve made in the past. The depth of God’s love doesn’t judge us on the color or style of our hair, the shape of our bodies, how many tattoos or piercings we have, whether we wear makeup or not, or the type of clothes we wear.

No, it goes deeper than that. There is a scripture in the Bible that says, “…for the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7b) Man’s love can never go as deep as God’s love because we are hindered by our human nature and carnal thinking. My beautiful sisters, that’s why it is so important for us to learn how deep our Father’s love is for us. Take the first step with me and participate in the "call to action" at the end of this blog. As a beautiful sister of mine, please know every day God kisses us with life, now kiss him back by living a life full of love, joy, gratitude, and peace. I've included a video that spoke to my heart. Although the song maybe talking about a person, in your mind, put God in that space. Think about Him showing how deep His love is when you open your eyes and you can see, when you take in that first breath when you wake up in the morning and you can breathe on your own, or as mothers, you look at your child or children laughing and playing and you begin to think...God chose me to be their mother. But the ultimate show of how deep God's love is towards us, is when He gave His son as a sacrifice for our sins. He gave His life so that we can have life.
