Hello Queen,
I pray you are having a good week, and that your start to the new school year is not too stressful. Today, I want to share with you a more detailed way to say “yes” to yourself. Saying “yes” to yourself isn’t about selfishness; it’s about alignment. It’s about choosing to embrace the woman God created you to be instead of shrinking, doubting, or living by the world’s expectations. Queen, too often, we pour into others, carry everyone’s burdens, and silence our own needs. But God never intended for His daughters to live empty, overlooked, or bound by guilt.
When you say “yes” to yourself, you’re really saying “yes” to the life, identity, and purpose God already designed for you. You’re giving yourself permission to walk boldly in His truth, protect your peace, and flourish in the gifts He placed within you. My beautiful sister, today, I want to share with you 7 powerful ways to say “YES” to yourself, not out of pride, but out of faith. Each one is an invitation to live more fully in God’s love and embrace the radiant, courageous, and purposeful woman He made you to be. Let’s get started.

1. Say Yes to God’s Voice Over the World’s Noise
Choose to silence the lies of comparison, perfectionism, and insecurity by leaning into God’s truth. His Word declares you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
2. Say Yes to Rest Without Guilt
Give yourself permission to slow down and honor your body, mind, and spirit. Jesus Himself rested, reminding us that rest is a holy act of trust in God.
3. Say Yes to Your God-Given Identity
Release labels, titles, or roles that limit you, and embrace your identity as a daughter of the King (Galatians 4:7). You are chosen, loved, and set apart.
4. Say Yes to Boundaries that Protect Your Peace
It’s not selfish to set limits; it’s stewardship. Guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) so you can walk in joy and purpose without being drained by what God never assigned to you.
5. Say Yes to Forgiving Yourself
Let go of shame, regret, and past mistakes. God’s grace is sufficient, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
6. Say Yes to Your Dreams and Gifts
Step out in faith and use the talents God placed within you. Your gifts were meant to bless others and bring Him glory (Matthew 5:16).
7. Say Yes to Loving Yourself as God Loves You
Speak kindly to yourself, nurture your spirit, and walk boldly in self-love, not the world’s version, but the kind rooted in God’s unconditional love (1 John 4:19).
Saying “yes” to yourself is really saying “yes” to God’s best for your life. Each step you take, whether it’s setting a boundary, forgiving yourself, or resting without guilt, brings you closer to the woman He designed you to be.
Love and Blessings,
Dr. Doris
