When God Heals What You Don’t Talk About

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

Hello Queen,

I pray this week has been a beautiful jump start to remind you of the power and authority you have been given by God to make your week what YOU want it to be. Like many of you, I am in the transitional and leveling-up season of my life and I am extremely excited about it. We are going to stay in the area of emotional healing and self-worth for the next few weeks. I believe as our topics get deeper God wants to heal us completely. No more guilt, shame, and blame, slip-sliding, and hiding. This is your year. Your season to be set free. Your time to rise. Let’s get started.

Sis, there are silent wounds many women carry, deep-rooted pain, unspoken trauma, secret fears, and emotional bruises that have never been voiced aloud. (I know because I’ve carried them for over 50 years) Whether caused by rejection, abandonment, betrayal, or burnout, these hidden hurts often remain locked away behind the mask of strength. But here’s the powerful truth: God can heal even the things you’ve never spoken about. Yes! Won’t He Do It!

The Pain Behind the Silence

Queen, for many women, silence feels safer. It’s because we’ve been taught to hold it together, push through, and stay composed for the sake of our families, jobs, ministries, and reputations. Talking about “it”, whatever it is, feels too risky, too vulnerable, too messy. But the danger of silence is that it convinces you that you are alone in your suffering. It keeps you imprisoned in shame and convinces you healing is for everyone else. This is a lie from the enemy. God never asked you to carry your pain in isolation.

God Sees What You’ve Hidden

My beautiful sister, the beauty of God’s love is that He doesn’t need a spoken word to recognize your wounds. He is the One who knit you together in your mother’s womb. He saw the heartbreak before you knew how to name it. And even when you can’t find the words, He interprets your tears. I remember many nights crying alone in my pillow and asking God to let my tears speak for me. I knew somehow God would be able to understand the depth of my pain, even if man could not. And He did! In Romans 8:26, we are reminded that “the Spirit helps us in our weakness... the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” God understands the language of our soul.

Healing Begins in the Presence of God

Daughter of The Most High God, when you bring your silence before God, healing begins. He specializes in soul restoration. He can reach into the depths of what’s been buried for years and gently begin to untangle the knots of pain. You don’t have to shout it from the rooftops. A whispered prayer. A surrendered heart. A journaled cry. A quiet moment on your knees. God meets you there and begins a healing work that surpasses human understanding.

Breaking the Cycle for the Next Generation

Queen, as a daughter of God, your healing is not just for you. It's generational. When you allow God to heal what you’ve kept hidden, you interrupt cycles of silence and suffering. You become living testimonies for your daughters, nieces, sisters, and friends that it’s okay to not be okay, and even more, it’s okay to heal.

The Strong and Courageous Women’s Empowerment Program is a sacred space where as a woman you are learning to embrace this truth. Together, we uncover, release, and rise, knowing that healing is not weakness, it’s worship.

Reflection Prompt: What pain have you kept tucked away in silence? Can you invite God into that space today?

Prayer: Lord, I surrender the places in me that I’ve kept hidden. Heal the hurts I cannot name. Mend the brokenness I’ve learned to live with. I trust You to do what no one else can. Restore my soul in Your love and truth. In Jesus’ name, amen.
