Hello Queen,
I pray you are doing well. Now that school is back in session you can take some time to breathe and refocus. Yes, you love your husband/partner and children, but after taking the Summer to take care of their needs, it's time to take care of your needs. This is your space to explore, embrace, and elevate your inner strength, self-care, and self-assurance. I desire to empower you to reign over your life with grace, courage, and boldness. Whether you're looking to boost your confidence, redefine yourself, find inspiration, empowerment, or motivation, you must remember that transformation starts with taking a closer look at who you are and understanding how to reign with confidence as a Queen. Here are six steps to help you on your journey. Let’s get started.
1. Embracing Your Inner Queen
Understanding your self-worth is vitally important when learning how to empower yourself. Every woman has a unique story and intrinsic value. Learn to recognize and appreciate your worth through self-reflection and positive affirmations. Start your day with a heart of gratitude by thanking God for what you already have and what He has already done. Decree out of your mouth powerful affirmations to set a positive tone. Repeat phrases like, "I am worthy," "I am powerful," ”I’m going to rock this day,” and "I am a Queen."
2. Building Unshakeable Confidence
As a woman, we have all struggled at one time or another with self-doubt and at times it can feel crippling, but it doesn't have to be. Sis, overcoming self-doubt is a process that you will continue to learn and grow as you live. I encourage you to explore strategies for overcoming negative self-talk and replacing them with empowering thoughts. “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Phil. 4:8 KJV)
3. The Power of Self-Care
Taking time for yourself is essential. Discover the benefits of mindfulness and meditation for mental clarity and emotional stability. Queen, I make this a daily practice in my life. The world is loud and with all of the demands, responsibilities, and obligations that fill your day, it can be a bit overwhelming. We were not created to live life at such a fast pace continuously. When you do, that’s when burnout, frustration, stress, and anger occur. Make yourself a priority and take a moment to shut the world out and focus on your self-care. I promise when you work on changing yourself for the better, everything around you will automatically change for the better. Feel free to go back and read my blog “Self-Love and Self-Care For a Queen” to remind yourself of the steps to doing self-care.
4. Empowering Your Mind
Empower yourself with knowledge. Find resources for personal and professional development, including books, courses, and workshops. It is very important that you keep learning to keep your mind active and strong. When you are putting positive things, new ideas in your mind, and intentionally thinking about things that make you smile, it keeps negative thoughts from taking root and settling in your mind. This is what we call retraining the brain and everyone can do it. Also, surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you. Learn how to build a supportive network and cut ties with negative influences.
5. Work-Life Balance
Balancing career and personal life is crucial because it can positively impact your physical, mental, and emotional health. My beautiful sister, please take this seriously. An imbalance can lead to chronic stress, sleep disturbances, and neglect of physical health needs, which can lead to more serious diseases. However, a healthy work-life balance can help you maintain a positive attitude, energy, and focus, which can lead to increased productivity at work. It can also help reduce the risk of depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. God intended for us to enjoy life to the fullest and He has given us the power and the ability to choose how we live it. “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore, choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” (Deut. 30:19 KJV) Queen, when you choose to balance your life, those around you will also reap the benefits and blessings.
6. Join the Queen Community
Connect with other women who are on the same journey. Share your experiences, seek advice, and offer support on your job, in your church, with your friends and family, and even in your community. As a personal testimony sis, I remember when I felt stuck in life. I was so sad and felt alone. I wasn’t enjoying my life, and I didn’t feel fulfilled in my calling. I remember praying one day and asking God to put me in the midst of higher-thinking women. Women who were doing things to make life exciting, working towards a goal, having meaningful business-minded conversations. Most of all women who were positive, encouraging, and celebrating other women as the Queens they were. My beautiful sister, God gave me exactly what I had prayed for, and I am forever grateful. He can do the same for you.
